The 7 Top Shopify Apps for Any Store

Shopify is an all-in-one platform for eCommerce. You can build your eCommerce site from scratch on it loaded with all the basics and advanced functions within hours.

Although some may debate that Shopify only offers basic functions and need to install different apps, either free or paid, to add other features to it. But these Top Shopify Apps are things that cannot be missed.

Well, this actually is a good idea that Shopify is doing here. This is actually related to your user experience, just like a building block. Not everyone will need a big block with all the different things inside. Instead, you’ll be building anything you want with a combination of different blocks.

Shopify on the other hand is the starting block for your foundations. Not everyone will need all the functions out there, and those useless features will just make your site laggy and not respond, making it hard for your visitors to browse. Remember the 3s rule, if your webpage not loading or not catching attention within 3s, your visitor is gone.

Now, we will list a few Shopify Apps with essential functions to capture your visitors and convert them.

What are the Top Shopify Apps?

1. Oberlo App

If you’re running a Shopify Dropshipping store, Oberlo will be a must to start with. Oberlo is a Shopify app that works specifically to connect Aliexpress to your Shopify store. It is an app built by dropshipper for dropshipper.

Oberlo

With Oberlo, they have a process to verify suppliers on their platform where you can select and import those items directly from Oberlo to your Shopify store. All you need to do is add the item to your import list, change the product title, descriptions, and price and select the photos you want.

Else, you can also install the Oberlo Chrome Plugin. Then when you found your product on Aliexpress, it can be imported to the Oberlo import list.

Not only Oberlo can help with importing and managing products, but it can also help with automatic fulfilment as well. For example, when someone purchases your products in Shopify, Oberlo can help to issue an order from the Aliexpress supplier to your customers. All can be done as long as you save your credit card in their system. No reloading is required and the transaction will go through after you get payment from your customer.

2. Countdown Timer

A countdown timer is very important to increase the urgency and make your website visitors take immediate action. For example, you can have a countdown timer that says, discount for a limited time only. Take action before the end of the offer. Or it can be a stock-limited countdown where you can say XXX units left. Get it before too late.

3. Kit

Kit is a very powerful artificial intelligence virtual assistant that can help to run Facebook ads, email marketing campaigns, getting store updates. With Kit, you can automate your digital marketing strategy to post your most popular item or latest item on Facebook and Instagram. To get your store performance report, Kit can help generates it as well.

4. Product Review app

Product review is very important for a business owner to get testimonials for your products so others will trust you more. Also, you can improve your products through the review or recommendations they give. You can feedback to your suppliers and ask them to customize the item based on it if the idea is good.

But what if you’re just starting out and have no review for your product? Don’t worry, you can always import it from your supplier. For example, if you’re dropshipping from Aliexpress, you can import from Aliexpress directly to Shopify.

5. Upsell

One of the keys to building a successful eCommerce store is upselling and cross-selling. Just look at your Amazon dashboard, on every product page, there is a section, frequently purchased with….. There they will upsell something related to what you intended to buy and persuades you to buy more items.

Why is this important? Unless you have a huge fan base that will buy whatever you sell, most probably you’ll need to pay for the traffic to your sites. In order to compensate for the high CPA cost now, it is essential that you can increase the average cart value so you will make more revenue for each sale.

6. Abandon cart recovery

For some reason, someone might view your product page, add it to the cart, or enters their details but not buy. They might be catching the train, being called to do something else, or rushing for an appointment. They left their contact details and items in the shopping cart.

Many shop owners just ignore this, but this is actually a very important step to increase your sales. Now you have their contact details, email them and tell them they left something here. Send them the link with a special offer to close the deal.

7. Printful

This is a special app I would say. Not just an additional function, but a print-on-demand supplier. A similar model to dropshipping, but now you’re starting your own clothing line.

All you need to do is have your design, either you can do it on your own on platforms like Canva or hire a freelancer at Fiverr. Then, upload your design to Printful. It will be automatically synced to your Shopify product.

Now, the product is not printed yet. Printful will only print and deliver your item once someone orders it.
